An Introduction to the Company
Heris Power Plant Company was founded on 21/08/2011 as a private joint stock company and registered under the number 411 253 of the Companies Registration and Industrial Property Office of Tehran.
The main activity of the company is the design, construction and operation of Heris power plant, electricity generation, distribution and sale of electricity, investment in the purchase of power plants, participation in domestic and foreign tenders and projects for the construction of power plants and their implementation.
This power plant is the first class F power plant of the projects implemented in the country.

Summary of the History and Current Status of the Power Plant
The implementation phase of the Heris Combined Cycle Power Plant construction project with the aim of meeting the need for electricity and also transiting abroad began in 21/03/2015.
The project implementation area of 700,000 square meters is located in Harris County in East Azerbaijan Province.
The nominal capacity of the power plant is about 500 MW, with one gas unit and one steam unit of class F. It’s equipment has been purchased from the Italian company Ansaldo.
The Efficiency of the Heris power plant is %58 higher than the approximate average.
